Wrongful transactions may take place due to the following reasons: Remitter types wrong Bank Account Number or IFSC Code by mistake; An incorrect transaction entered wrongfully due to technical glitches on the concerned Bank’s part. In the case where an amount has been debited or credited to a wrong bank account due to technical glitches on the part of the concerned financial institution, the liability to rectify the relevant error completely lies with the responsible Bank only.
